On the afternoon of April 1, Zhou Zheng, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone and director of its Management Committee, led a trade delegation to visit South Korea. During the visit, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone and the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation jointly held the Changchun (Seoul) Trade and Economic Cooperation Promotion Conference in Seoul, South Korea.

At the conference, Zhou Zheng introduced the development situation and policy advantages of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone. The Changchun Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation and the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism respectively made presentations. Zhongke Company of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone introduced the fund investment policies of the demonstration zone from the perspective of capital empowerment.

During the exchange session, Zhou Zheng and Kim Sung-gon, chairman of the China Korean Entrepreneurs Association, reached a consensus on setting up a branch of the China Korean Entrepreneurs Association in the demonstration zone and holding the 2026 China (Changchun) Korea Week. Both sides agreed that in mid-May, Kim Sung-gon will lead member enterprises to visit the demonstration zone and discuss cooperation matters.

This promotion conference was practical and efficient, creating new opportunities for the China-ROK Demonstration Zone to expand all-round and wide-ranging cooperation with South Korea. In the next step, the demonstration zone will closely cooperate with the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation to ensure steady progress and practical results in all cooperation.

More than 30 participants from the China Korean Entrepreneurs Association, the General Association of Chinese Citizens in South Korea, and relevant enterprises attended the event.
