On March 17, Kim Tae-nyeon, president of the ROK-China Parliamentarians' Union, led a delegation of 20 people to visit the China-ROK Demonstration Zone. Members of the delegation included Park Jeong, vice president of the ROK-China Parliamentarians' Union, Kang Hyung-gu, vice consul general of the Consulate General of ROK in Shenyang, as well as other South Korean parliamentarians and representatives from various sectors.  

On-site visits to feel the pulse of development

Liu Naijun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone, on behalf of the Party Working Committee and the Management Committee of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and accompanied them to visit the Industrial Innovation Base, Changchun Tianmingsheng Technology Co Ltd, the Health Food Industrial Park, Changchun Xueniu Craft Beer Co Ltd, and the Cold Chain Logistics Industrial Park. They gained an in-depth understanding of the industrial layout and development achievements of the demonstration zone in high-end equipment, health food, biotechnology and other fields. The modern factory facilities, technological innovations of enterprises, rich exhibits of cooperation with South Korea and the complete supply chain system left a deep impression on the delegation.

In-depth Exchange and Friendly Cooperation

During the exchange, Liu Naijun said that as a national-level demonstration zone approved by the State Council, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone has always focused on the strategic positioning of being a pioneer area for all-round and wide-ranging cooperation between China and South Korea, and has actively promoted opening up and cooperation with South Korea. Currently, the WSG Special Steel Production Project with a total investment of $16 million and the Yiyang Health Product Production Project have been officially launched, and the economic and trade cooperation with South Korea is showing a good trend.

Kim Tae-nyeon said that this was his first visit to Changchun, and he felt very excited and looked forward to it. The three northeastern provinces of China and South Korea are geographically adjacent and culturally similar, with an inseparable close connection. After the visit to the China-ROK Demonstration Zone, he felt even more that efforts should be made to further promote the cooperation between Korean enterprises and the China-ROK Demonstration Zone. He hoped that this visit can create new opportunities for Korean enterprises to enter the Chinese market. He will take the materials from this visit back to South Korea and promote the China-ROK Demonstration Zone to more Korean enterprises.

This visit fully demonstrated the new image of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone in terms of opening up and cooperation, and also injected new vitality into deepening local exchanges between China and South Korea and promoting regional economic cooperation. Standing at a new starting point, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone will continue to uphold the concept of "being friendly to business, ensuring business stability, and enriching business", and work hand in hand with friends from all walks of life in South Korea to jointly write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between China and South Korea.
