The China-ROK Business Forum was successfully held in Beijing on January 5. The forum was jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was one of the important trade and economic events during ROK President Lee Jae-myung's visit to China. Liu Naijun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, attended the forum as a representative of a national-level platform for cooperation with South Korea.
ROK President Lee Jae-myung said that in recent years, cooperation between the ROK and China has deepened across various fields, noting that the ROK is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with China and bring more benefits to the people of both countries. Lee stressed the need to further deepen the trade and economic partnership between China and the ROK, promoting pragmatic cooperation between the two countries to a higher level. Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng said that China will work with the ROK to increase mutual understanding and trust, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. First, we should tighten economic ties. Second, we should enhance the popular support. Third, we should expand cooperation among multilateral platforms. During the forum, Liu Naijun had in-depth discussions with political and business figures from South Korea's Samsung, POSCO, KOTRA and other companies on cooperation in cutting-edge fields such as emerging industries, sustainable development, as well as trade and economic innovation, jointly exploring new development opportunities and new paths for cooperation.
The China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, as an important carrier of cooperation between China and the ROK, has always been actively promoting trade and economic exchanges and industrial synergy between the two countries. The forum is the highest-level and most influential business event since the establishment of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, marking a new stage in exchanges and cooperation with the ROK.
