Delegation of Sabah state government of Malaysia visits Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone

On the afternoon of February 17, a delegation of the Sabah state government of Malaysia led by Datuk Thomas Lo Keejin, executive secretary of the Sabah Department of Industrial Development, visited the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone. The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in industrial park construction, international trade and cold chain logistics.

Yang Jianhua, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province presided over the meeting.

During the meeting, Li Rui, deputy director of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone (Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone) Management Committee, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. After introducing the basic situation, industrial structure, international cooperation and preferential policies of the demonstration zone, Li said that the demonstration zone sincerely hopes to carry out closer exchanges and cooperation with Sabah in trade, industry and projects.

Datuk Thomas Lo Keejin said that the visit to the demonstration zone is a valuable opportunity for study and exchanges, as well as a good start for bilateral cooperation. He expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to deepen friendly exchanges and carry out practical cooperation.

The meeting is a concrete manifestation of the demonstration zone to act on the concept of opening-up and cooperation. The demonstration zone will take this opportunity to promote opening-up and cooperation with Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries in more areas, on a larger scale, and in greater depth.

The delegation also visited industrial parks in the demonstration zone, including the Industrial Innovation Base, Healthy Food Industrial Park and Cold Chain Logistics Industrial Park.

The Second Asia Division of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province and relevant departments of the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone participated in the meeting.
