On August 12, Zheng Gang, director of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, met with Kwon Ki-sik, president of the China-ROK Friendship Association.

Zheng Gang said that Jilin province has been actively promoting economic development and industrial upgrading, with significant results achieved. The province has unique advantages in terms of communication and cooperation with South Korea due to its geographical location and cultural exchanges, he said, adding that hopefully, the China-ROK Friendship Association will focus on the industrial characteristics of Jilin province, make good use of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone as a window, and promote cooperation between the two sides in the fields of deep processing of agricultural and ginseng products, development of new energy products, and utilization of ice-snow resources.
Kwon Ki-sik said that he has been committed to boosting exchanges and cooperation between South Korea and China for many years, and will continue to play his role in the future to promote mutually beneficial cooperation and common development between the two sides.
Liu Naijun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and Huang Lihua, deputy director of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, attended the meeting.
