On August 13, the 2025 First Ji Mei International New Economy Conference kicked off in Changchun. The event, hosted by the Jilin Beauty & Cosmetics Association, attracted over a thousand industry elites from China and South Korea. The China-ROK Demonstration Zone fully leveraged its platform advantages, organized representatives from authoritative South Korean institutions including the China-ROK Friendship Association, the K-Beauty Industry Association and Jeonju University of Electronic Devices to attend, and facilitated multiple trade and economic cooperation projects.

Yang Zhen, director of the Management Office of the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone, stressed in his opening speech that as a national-level platform for cooperation with South Korea, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone will rely on its geographical center advantage in Northeast Asia, continuously release policy dividends, build an efficient system for goods, people and information flows, and accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects in the beauty industry between China and South Korea.

The visit of the South Korean delegation is an important achievement of the trade and economic exchanges between the China-ROK Demonstration Zone and South Korea in July this year. During that period, the delegation from the demonstration zone reached multiple cooperation agreements with the China-ROK Friendship Association and the K-Beauty Industry Association. Kwon Ki-sik, president of the China-ROK Friendship Association, and Kim Myung-jin, president of the K-Beauty Industry Association, visited the demonstration zone during the conference and held practical talks on deepening cooperation in the health industry, promoting cooperation between the demonstration zone and South Korea to a new level. 

At the conference, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Jilin Beauty & Cosmetics Association. According to the agreement, both sides will jointly build a demonstration platform for China-South Korea cooperation in the beauty industry, and carry out in-depth cooperation in such areas as technology exchange, talent cultivation and project incubation, injecting new impetus into the transformation and upgrading of the beauty industry in Jilin province.

The successful holding of the conference marks a new stage in the China-South Korea cooperation in the beauty industry in Jilin province. As an important hub for industrial coordination between the two countries, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone will continue to inject new momentum into bilateral cooperation.
