On July 17, Tang Dapeng, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone and director of its Management Committee, led a team to Beijing to carry out investment promotion activities, aiming to deepen industry-academia-research cooperation and empower regional industrial upgrading. The team visited Beijing Institute of Technology and Beijing Hemu Biotechnology Co Ltd for in-depth exchanges on the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, as well as cooperation on key projects.
At Beijing Institute of Technology, the team visited the exhibition hall of scientific and technological achievements and the museum of university history, and had discussions on scientific research cooperation in such fields as additive manufacturing, low-altitude economy, and future health. Tang Dapeng said that relying on the strong scientific research strength of Beijing Institute of Technology to jointly build an industrial laboratory is a key measure for the demonstration zone to expand the "3+1" industrial layout, promote new industrialization, and cultivate new quality productive forces. As an important engine for regional development, the demonstration zone has a complete industrial supporting capacity and is an ideal platform for cooperation, Tang added. Both sides have made it clear that they will accelerate the establishment of the joint venture company-Zhongji Additive Manufacturing Company with shares held by state-owned enterprises in the district. They also plan to sign a strategic cooperation agreement at the China-Northeast Asia Expo, and simultaneously establish the Beijing Institute of Technology Science and Technology Achievement Laboratory in the company to boost the application of scientific research achievements in Jilin province. Future cooperation will take new energy as the entry point and gradually expand to multiple fields such as new materials, new healthcare, low-altitude economy, and hydrogen energy storage.
Subsequently, the team visited Beijing Hemu Biotechnology Co Ltd. The company focuses on the research and development of veterinary MRNA vaccines and the transformation of innovative drugs for pets, and its core technology layout is highly aligned with the development direction of the health industry in the demonstration zone. After visiting the enterprise laboratory, Tang Dapeng affirmed its cutting-edge technological achievements and pointed out that the project has important innovative value for building an animal health industry chain. He urged relevant departments in the demonstration zone to strengthen coordination services, fully promote project implementation, and contribute to the upgrading of the regional health industry through technological innovation.
This visit to Beijing has effectively clarified the direction of cooperation and laid a solid foundation for project implementation. The China-ROK Demonstration Zone will make sustained efforts to optimize the business environment, deepen collaboration with the university and enterprise, and promote more high-quality projects to be implemented through precise investment attraction and efficient services, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
