Visit to the Chinese Embassy in South Korea to seek high-quality development together
During the visit to Chinese Embassy in South Korea, Tang Dapeng communicated detailed information about the China-ROK Demonstration Zone to Dai Bing, Chinese Ambassador to South Korea. According to its industry positioning, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone has carried out cooperation with South Korea on the development of new quality productive forces including smart agricultural machinery, hydrogen energy equipment and ice-snow equipment. The two sides have made joint efforts to cultivate such industries as medical cosmetology, healthy foods and pet supplies. With great efforts to encourage reform, innovation and opening-up, the Demonstration Zone has expanded cooperation with South Korea especially after a representative office and a branch were set up.
Dai Bing highly affirmed the strategic positioning of the Demonstration Zone. He pointed out that the bilateral trade volume between China and South Korea reached over US$328 billion in 2024, and South Korea once again became China's second largest trading partner. Under the new circumstances, the cooperation between the two sides faces the issue of industrial structure adjustment. Both China and South Korea should keep pace with the times and foster new growth areas on the basis of re-understanding the economic and trade relations between the two countries. Northeast China and South Korea are naturally positioned to carry out cooperation. The Demonstration Zone should rely on the good pharmaceutical industry foundation in Northeast China, and strengthen industrial cooperation with South Korea in medical health, biotechnology and other fields.
