On August 19, the China-ROK Demonstration Zone and the Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone signed a cooperation agreement on joint construction. The two parties will carry out all-round cooperation in the fields of bonded processing, warehousing, logistics, cross-border e-commerce and transmit trade, so as to achieve coordinated development, benefit sharing, and win-win cooperation.

The Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Zone is a special customs supervision zone established in 2011 with the approval of the State Council. It is the 19th comprehensive bonded zone in China and the first in Jilin province, with an approved planning area of 2.7 square kilometers. It is located in the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone. Following the development strategy of "logistics as the precondition, industry as the support, and trade as the activator", the comprehensive bonded zone has created the first cross-border e-commerce export pilot and the first China-Europe freight train trip in the province, the first vehicle port and meat port in the northeastern inland region, as well as the first automobile bonded inspection platform in the country, forming an open development pattern featuring "one port, one zone, and one center"-the international land port, comprehensive bonded zone, and exhibition and trading center. 

During the activity, Xie Zhimin, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone, said that the comprehensive bonded zone will fully leverage its policy advantages and platform effectiveness to promote resource and platform sharing between the demonstration zone, the comprehensive bonded zone, and the economic and technological development zone. They will make every effort to provide the highest quality services for foreign enterprises in Changchun city and Jilin province, supporting healthy enterprise development. 

Liu Naijun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone, said that the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone has always been among the top-tier national-level economic development zones in terms of comprehensive development level, and serves as a model for the demonstration zone to learn from. Taking this cooperation as an opportunity, the demonstration zone will learn from the advanced experience and practices of the development zone, fully utilize the policy and functional advantages of the comprehensive bonded zone, give full play to the effectiveness of the demonstration zone as an international cooperation platform, and continuously enhance its openness and cooperation capabilities.

The signing of the cooperation agreement marks a new chapter of strategic cooperation and coordinated development between the two parties. In the next step, both sides will make more joint efforts in strengthening the complementary advantages, boosting the foreign trade industry in the province, promoting opening-up to the north under the Belt and Road Initiative, and building a higher-level opening-up platform in Jilin province and Changchun city.

During the activity, the delegation from the demonstration zone visited the Changchun Xinglong International Land Port Comprehensive Service Center, the first phase of the fenced bonded storage warehouse, and the import and export commodity exhibition and trading center in the comprehensive bonded zone. 

Tang Dapeng, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of the China-ROK Demonstration Zone, Yang Zhen, director of the Management Office of the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and key officials from the Bureau of Commerce, the Bureau of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and Shuangxing Group participated in the activity.
