Jilin tour of Japanese-funded enterprises & cooperation and exchange meeting on hydrogen energy industry launched in demonstration zone

On the 23rd, the Jilin tour of Japanese-funded enterprises & cooperation and exchange meeting on the hydrogen energy industry was successfully launched in the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone. Guided by the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce, the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone and MUFG Bank in China Shenyang Branch jointly held the meeting. 16 Japanese-funded enterprises such as Iwatani Corporation and Nomura Research Institute, as well as 16 Chinese-funded enterprises in the demonstration zone, including Green Hydrogen Energy and Linde Group, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Liu Guotao, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone and director of the Management Committee, Zou Dechun, official from the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce, and Cai Yang, assistant to the president of MUFG Bank in China Shenyang Branch, delivered speeches. Representatives of 4 enterprises from China and Japan also gave speeches. Representatives of some enterprises raised questions on the hydrogen energy industry on the spot. At the meeting, participating enterprises had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the development of the hydrogen energy industry, providing broad ideas for its high-quality development.

At the end of the meeting, Yang Zhen, director of the Management Office of the Changchun Opening-up and Cooperation Demonstration Zone, said that since its establishment more than three years ago, the demonstration zone has focused on international cooperation, built platforms, established mechanisms, optimized the environment, and continuously improved the functions of the open platform. The zone has been striving to build a "3+1" modern industrial system, Yang said, adding that especially in the development and application of the hydrogen energy industry, it has implemented the SPIC hydrogen energy industry base project and the "renewable energy + PEM hydrogen production + hydrogen refueling" integrated hydrogen refueling station project. The hydrogen energy bus has been put into service for employees in the demonstration zone for almost a year.
In the next step, the demonstration zone will continue to engage in the production, storage, transmission, utilization and technological innovation of hydrogen energy, boost the development of the hydrogen energy industry, and build a green, low-carbon and smart new city.
